After-Hours Care
For existing patients of Franklin General Practice, after-hours medical support is available. Please call (02) 6253 8663 and follow the instructions provided.
Home Visits
Home visits are available for regular patients who are unable to attend the clinic due to a medical condition. To enquire, please contact our reception team at (02) 6253 8663.
Please note:
- This is not an emergency service.
- Availability is at the discretion of the treating doctor.
- Home visits are usually conducted after 7:00 PM on weekdays.
Anytime Telehealth
Our Anytime Telehealth service provides convenient access to healthcare, wherever you are.
What Is Anytime Telehealth?
Book virtual consultations with our experienced GPs using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Through secure video conferencing, you can receive quality medical care without visiting the clinic in person.

Medicare Rebates
Regular patients who have had an in-person consultation within the past 12 months may be eligible for Medicare rebates on telehealth appointments.

How Does It Work?
- Book Your Appointment: Visit our website, go to the “After Hours & Telehealth” tab, and follow the booking instructions.
- Complete Payment: Pay for your appointment following the step-by-step guide.
- Wait for the Call: Your doctor will call you around your scheduled time (maximum wait: 40 minutes). The call will come from a No Caller ID number — ensure your phone accepts such calls.
- Begin Your Virtual Consultation: Discuss your symptoms, ask questions, and receive medical advice just like during an in-person visit.
- Prescriptions & Follow-Up: Prescriptions will be sent electronically if required. Follow-up care can also be arranged.
