Home Visits

Home visits are available for regular patients of Franklin General Practice who are unable to attend the clinic due to a medical condition.

Please note:

  • This is not an emergency service.
  • Availability is at the discretion of the treating doctor.
  • Home visits are usually conducted after 7:00 PM on weekdays.

Anytime Telehealth

At Franklin General Practice, we understand that your health needs don’t always fit within standard hours. That’s why we offer Anytime Telehealth — providing convenient access to healthcare, wherever you are.

What Is Anytime Telehealth?

Our Anytime Telehealth Service allows you to book virtual consultations with our experienced GPs using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Through secure video conferencing, you can receive quality medical care without visiting the clinic in person.

Whether you’re a regular patient or accessing care for the first time, we’re here to help.

Medicare Rebates

Regular patients who have had an in-person consultation at Franklin General Practice within the past 12 months may be eligible for Medicare rebates on telehealth appointments.

Fees for Anytime TeleHealth Appointment

8am to 8pm - $95

8pm -12am - $110

12am - 8am - $250

Home visit - $350

How  Does it Work?

1. Book Your Appointment:
Visit our website, go to the “After Hours & Telehealth” tab, and follow the booking instructions.
2. Complete Payment:
Pay for your appointment following the step-by-step guide.
3. Wait for the Call:
Your doctor will call you around your scheduled time (maximum wait: 40 minutes).
Please note: the call will come from a No Caller ID number — ensure your phone accepts such calls.
4. Begin Your Virtual Consultation:
Once connected, you can discuss your symptoms, ask questions, and receive medical advice just like during an in-person visit.
5. Prescriptions & Follow-Up:
If required, prescriptions will be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. Follow-up care can also be arranged.
